Aidan O'Toole

Hello, my name is Aidan and I am your youth minister. I cover St. Joseph High School, St. Patricks, St. Lorenzo, and St. Thomas in Red Deer. In Blackfalds, I cover St. Gregory.

I have been working in youth ministry for about 10 years. I graduated from Red Deer Catholic in 2016 and am a product of the district's youth ministry programs.

I am passionate about sharing my faith to help students know Jesus and understand our Catholic faith! I also love playing board games, playing video, crocheting, and being outdoors.

Our Ministries

People of Discipleship or P.O.D

P.O.D. is a middle school Catholic youth ministry program that is filled with fun, food, games, prayer, and sessions based on the Catholic faith. High school students have the opportunity to be P.O.D. leaders through formation and leadership training. This program is run through Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools and the parishes of Red Deer, Innisfail, Olds, and Blackfalds.

High School P.O.D

Our high school group meets on the first Thursday of the month from 7-9 pm for fun faith and fellowship. All are welcome to join.

A high school student may also come and help out with our middle school P.O.D. with set up and clean up, as well as taking leadership roles in games, skits, and talks.

People of Discipleship

Chaplet of Divine Mercy

Every Friday at 8:25 Students are welcome to come pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy in the Chapel. The Chaplet is a series of prayers similar to the rosary that Jesus Gave St. Faustina to pray for mercy around the world.

Gospel of John Bible Study

We are studying the Gospel of John every other Friday at lunch in the youth ministry office. Students are encouraged to come read a little of scripture and to discuss what they have read.

Alpha Youth Series

We will begin our Alpha youth series on February 18 at lunch in room 2300. Pizza will be provided and there will be games. Then we will watch a video and discuss what they watched. All are welcome to come join and learn and join the conversation.
